This is all kind of strange to watch.

In WWII, we had Robert Cappa. Then came CNN's real-time coverage of the first Gulf War.

    Now we have social media.

It's weird to hear so many stories in real time. It's the exact same shit as with any other war, but also unique.

    Yikes.

    Please love yourself.

My tweet of the day is from the Ukrainian ambassador in Germany. He replied to a "symbolic gesture" of lighting an official building in the colours of Ukraine by one of the politicians who most actively contributed to not actually helping them.

It's hard to translate the tweet accurately, but it's basically a very undiplomatic "Fuck you!".

News sources are reporting a red glow on the outskirts of Kiev for the last few hours. Perhaps an oil depot.

Trying to hurry and finish it.

I suspect the screws are starting to tighten on Mr. Putin.

I think you may be right. The Ukrainians are not folding like cheap suit and he is doing what no one else before has done, uniting the West.

OK, things are moving over here in a quite remarkable way.

The chancellor has announced to invest an additional 100 billion into defense and liquid gas terminals, and promised to raise the defense budget over 2% of GDP.

Both would have been unthinkable just two weeks ago.
