John Kerry fears Russia-Ukraine war will distract from climate change

President Biden’s climate czar, John Kerry, warned Wednesday that Russia’s war against Ukraine is going to distract the world from the climate change crisis and produce "massive emissions" that will negatively impact the globe.

"I'm concerned about Ukraine because of the people of Ukraine and because of the principles that are at risk, in terms of international law and trying to change boundaries of international law by force," Kerry, the U.S. special presidential envoy for climate, said in an interview on BBC Arabic, MEMRI reported Wednesday. "I thought we lived in a world that had said no to that kind of activity. And I hope diplomacy will win."

I dont think that is a big surprise.

If your job is to focus on the climate, then every world event, you will look at as how it effects the climate.

For example, if you are Secretary of Golf and there is predicted to be 100 straight days of 100% sunshine and moderate temps, you will say:

"weather forecasts are great for golf. Come out and golf! We expect an increase in the numbers of golfers"

if you are secretary of agriculture, you will say

"No rain in forecast threatens crop growth. This could hurt farmers!!"

Just depends on where your focus is.

John Kerry is and always has been a pretentious sniveling prick so dumb his brain wouldn't power a squirrel. He sounds like Thurston Howell III from Gilligan's Island. Toss him on the pile of politicians this country would be better off without.

              Those were great.

I think the world could use a bit more Ronald Reagan right now. Good post and link, Copper
