Retired twice. Still PRN, about 4-6 days/month.
If my health was good enough, I'd work FT.

Interesting.... democrat policies fleece the people of the fruits of their labor all their lives, then they get to retirement age and both cannot and don't want to continue running on the rat wheel but many find they need to work again to pay their bills - often because those democrat policies are driving up costs of things.
Then these same left wing morons, when they hear that large numbers of retired people are having to go back to work to make enough money to live, unable and unwilling to accept or acknowledge the damage they've done, shove the blame off onto the pandemic and try to say it's a good thing.
To hear them tell it, these retired people aren't going back to work because they need to, they're living the high life, and are going back to work because they're bored and just looking for something to do. And that's a GOOD thing, since there are more jobs available than there are people to fill them!! All so nice and positive!!
Here are the facts. A lot of people who went into early retirement did so out of fear of getting the virus. Not because they were financially ready to handle it. Seems like I read somewhere back before covid that the average American had less than 1,000 dollars in the bank. So the truth is, lots and lots of people close to retirement age with less than a thousand bucks to their names were pushed into early retirement because of covid fears, have lived hand to mouth for the last 3 years, and now that the virus seems to be over re having to go back to work just to catch up on their bills and keep food on the table and gas in their car.
And still, left wing morons like the writer of this article and the simple minded fool who started this thread are so fucking mentally ill that they expect you to believe it's all a good thing!! Never EVER acknowledge the truth about their tribe's damage.
Most everyone here are financially stable, and don't need to work. Some of us might be lured back to working just to have something to do, but not because he needs the money. I don't need to work. But we are the exception, not the rule. Most of these people going back to work are faced with needing 100 dollars to gas up their car but only having 40 bucks to spend. Do they buy the good tasting name brand beans or do they buy the bland, tasteless store brand beans - or do the just skip beans this week altogether...
This pisses me off. Older people having to do without, or buy cheap stuff, sit in the dark to cut down on their electric bill, having to worry about whether or not they can even pay their electric bill, being forced to opt to go back to work to keep a roof over their head and food in their belly after spending their working years with the government shoving it's hand in their pocket... a lot of the money taken to give away to lazy bastards......
I can afford anything I want. I don't need to work and haven't needed to work for years. I don't check prices when I go to the grocery store. I buy what I want. But I also know about the pain people are dealing with because I also give away a lot of money to help them put food on their tables. And nothing....NOTHING... pisses me off more than to see some left wing moron try to portray this reality of people's lives as a good thing, with absolutely no awareness of their part in causing it in the first place.

@Larry I'm still amazed that most of the country couldn't come up with $400 for an emergency. With gas prices rising, a lot of people will be screwed. One wonders if that was part of the Putin's calculus? It certainly will help the GOP and DJT this year and likely in 2024.

@kluurs I agree, it is amazing. I grew up poor, but one thing I remember my parents always telling me was to learn to live on 80% of what you make. Save at least 20%.
