    @LuFins-Dad

    2 & 3

    Add a point 5: Coherent and consistent multilateral diplomatic pressure on Russia.

    Elbows up!

      Yup. Same here.

      @Renauda , can you elaborate on what you mean by "diplomatic pressure?"

          Definitely 2 and 3. Not sure yet about 1. I’m weighing the eventual cost of allowing Russia to take Ukraine. Thinking a unified NATO military response might be the best idea long term.

            Whose boots?

            US? NATO?

            Drones?

            And remember, it's March, in Asia.

              I said NATO.

              March in Asia?

              My sense of this, right or wrong, is no one will go nuclear over Ukraine. But it might send a message of resolve to Beijing.

                    1. Open up the keystone pipeline, deregulate the petroleum industry, restart fracking,
                    2. Remove the restrictions placed on Israeli gas pipeline. Make the US energy independent again.
                    3. Declare Putin an international war criminal
                    4. Load the nato allied eastern Europe nations that are next to Ukraine with a border with Russia full of NATO troops and equipment
                    5. Shut down Putin and all his rich Russian buddies, seized all their assets.
                    6. Arrest Biden, fire Harris and Pelosi.

                      @George-K

                      For one, stop being reactive and formulate a strategy that forces Russia to engage us rather than the other way round. Up the ante, approach neutrals like Finland and Sweden - both are armed to the teeth and both have extensive investments in Russia. Another is Israel with its networks into both Russia and Ukraine. There’s also the Arab states and Asian states like India and possibly even, China. Sounds crazy, but those old communists in Beijing have an Achilles heel called the sovereignty of states. China recognises Ukraine’s sovereignty, work on it.

                      One thing is certain, that Ukrainians have huge diaspora. It also a very angry diaspora that has money. Russia can only imagine how that diaspora will react. Mark my words, Ukrainian resistance it will make the Provisional Irish Republican Army look like Boy Scouts.

                          https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/02/24/ukraine-china-russia-invasion-reaction/

                          That article suggests that China is “surprised” that the invasion actually happened, and that China is denying that it “supports” the invasion. China did not tell its citizens to leave Ukraine ahead of time. It mentions that there are around 6000 holders of China’s passports stuck in Ukraine. And of course, the CCP concocted a bunch of rhetorics blaming the USA.
