Tucker has a point. I don't agree with some of the more strident points of the monologue, but we've spent a fair amount of time over the last several years demonizing Russia when they didn't deserve it.
I don't trust that snake-eyed bastard any further than I can throw him, but we've driven Russia towards China, rather than trying to work through some common issues with Putin and the Russians.

Closest thing I have seen is probably something like this:
“I went in yesterday and there was a television screen, and I said, ‘This is genius.’ Putin declares a big portion of Ukraine — Putin declares it as independent. Oh, that’s wonderful,” Trump told a conservative podcaster in an interview published Tuesday.

"I said, 'How smart is that?' And he’s gonna go in and be a peacekeeper. ... We could use that on our southern border," the former president said, describing Putin as “a guy who’s very savvy” and whom he knows “very, very well.” -
Putin's a genius leader, whereas Trudeau's a fascist bully boy.

Tucker Carlson is not “pro-Putin”, he is just “anti-anti-Putin,” according to this op-ed:

Putin, Carlson explained, has never done him — and by extension — the viewer, any wrong. Putin’s never called Carlson racist. Threatened to have him sacked. Never manufactured a lockdown-inducing pandemic. Never taught his children critical race theory or made fentanyl or attacked Christianity. So why does the Washington, D.C. establishment hate him so much?
