I think Rex is great. About 11 or so years ago my former colleague and I had beers and nachos with him in the lobby lounge of the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver during one of Globe Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conferences. He is really quite engaging and outrageously funny. He even agreed to speak at one of our remediation technology conferences in Banff if his schedule permitted.
Anyhow I found the above link so very Canadian - the kind of mutually confirming exchange you'd hear at the next table at Tim Horton's on Seniors' Tuesday. I especially liked the references to Tommy Douglas and Peter Lougheed (with whom I actually worked alongside on a federalism project after he had left politics).

So? I still respect them.
Remember, the political culture here is different, that is why both Peterson and Murphy could refer nostalgically to Pierre Trudeau, T. C. Douglas, Rene Levesque, Peter Lougheed and Grant Notley. All very different politicians and with the exception of Peter Lougheed, very divergent ideological outlooks than their own. I don’t presume that you would have known that and could only see the podcast through the eyes and ears of a non Canadian. I doubt that even here in Canada anyone under the age of 60 would have appreciated or understood a lot of what they were discussing about the past.
Sorry to disappoint you then, if I am not offended in the least of what they had to say. In fact, I agree with them in the main - Justin Trudeau has to go.

Probably not. More like the premiers and NDP as well as the Liberal Party machine at whose pleasure Trudeau serves and remains as leader of the Party told him time was up.
In any case I did not know that the Dauphin had dropped the Act until now. I have been following the Ukraine situation on the BBC all day.
