    https://www.fox5dc.com/news/trucker-convoys-aim-to-shut-dcs-capital-beltway-this-week-organizer-says

Our company trucks drive the beltway every single day. My store can not function without access to the beltway. All of my deliveries and inventory have to access the beltway. On top of everything, we are finally expecting to see a shipment of pianos that we have been waiting for since September. While I am sympathetic to the cause, these guys can have a couple of days. After that, I will be looking at ways to have an equivalent impact on their livelihoods...

Copycat protests are not a good way to win friends and influence people.

Unlike Canada, there’s no specific grievance suddenly uniting a subset of truckers. He’s going to have to find a group of guys who will put their income on hold and risk heavy fines or towing fees all for some generalized “down with these sorts of things” protest.

        Good luck with that.

Though now that I think about it Fox News will be championing this day and night, which could encourage some trucks but many more dudes in pickups and cars to join. But at least they’re easier to tow.
