Reacher

Hubby enjoys the books, so we watched episode 1. We'll see if episode 2 makes the case for watching the season. If hubby likes it, I will get lots of rughooking done, so it's all good.

I finished watching Reacher last night. It is a good action show.
It was predictable, maybe a few small surprises, which is fine.

Episode 2 is better. Gets the story rolling.
In the meantime, I'm going back to "Endurance." What a story!
(sorry for the derail)
A SS agent is murdered while on a secret assignment that even his lover/ partner who cries doesn't know about, and they cover it up because they can't trust anyone?
Who writes this shit?

Yeah, some of the writing is a bit funky.

War and Peace, it ain't. There are several Hollywood cliches/unbelievable action sequences involved.
Real life is enough fun. I put my feet up, park my brain and let the zoo animals entertain me.
BTW, if you noticed, the series has multiple writers...IMDB gave it a 8.6. Anything above 7.0 is usually pretty watchable.

That's exactly it. It's entertainment. I wrote a paper on that very thing in freshman composition and aced it.

I've watched 4 episodes.
Yeah, it's popcorn, and some of the coincidences really stretch it. A lot of eye candy for both genders.
(Whoopsie, did I say "both?" I believe I did...sorray.)
It's sort of like the American James Bond, but not sophisticated. Very high Redneck Coefficient (not that that's a bad thing).
I think I'd enjoy the character a LOT more if the storyline were more believable.
It sort of reminds me of "Burn Notice" which was on some cable channel. Fun to watch, but without the sophistication of something like "Justified."

OK - finished it this afternoon.
2 ½ stars - maybe just two.
Very predictable.
"Oh really? That irrelevant character you introduced in episode 1 was with the bad guys? Really?"
"I don't trust that guy," Reacher says to the real bad guy about the real good guy, before telegraphing his plan.
Significant plot holes.
"Don't worry, I'll uncuff you. I somehow managed to get the key to do that."
Suspended believability:
Guy who "never fired a gun" shoots bad guy (through glass) in the forehead.
C'mon man.
Yeah, it ain't Gone With The Wind. It's popcorn, but it's not very good popcorn.

Watched E3 and 4 today. Meh. Think I’ll go back to Goliath.

Yeah, George, try to keep up.
IIRC, I redd one Reacher book. Reacher never screwed up, never guessed wrong, wasn't ever flummoxed for more than 30 seconds, was smarter than everybody all the time . . .
Bor-r-r-ing.
Gimme Robert Crais any old time.
Plus I am meh about Cruise, so I don't feel I'm missing anything.

Watched the first three episodes.
Not bad. Nice characters. Good action.
The most annoying aspect of it is the music. Awful blues.
