      Yes, it makes sense to abolish the death penalty.

      1. If there is a mistake, there is no coming back from death
      2. It takes forever with almost unlimited chances to appeals, and it takes up a lot of time and resources to deal with those appeals; it may be a more efficient use of the justice system's time and resources to deal with "lifetime" imprisonment that to deal with "death penalties."

        I don’t mind if they abolish the death penalty, but I do believe there is a place for it, but it should be far rarer than it is…
