RC and 3D Printing

Various things can make a print fail. In this instance, the walls on these parts are the thinnest I have ever seen in a 3D printed model. Every part has some "defects" that I need to go over with some epoxy and possibly some thin fiberglass cloth to rienforce the structural integrity.
The particular part failed the first time because I didn't use supports. The second time was due to it cracking apart when I attempted to remove it from the build plate.

Last one tonight. The Engine Cowl. 10.25 hour print job.
I think I have enough filament on the roll but time will tell...

It's many hours and then many more.
Printing is only part of the battle here. Gluing everything together and making sure it stays square and hoping the adhesion works well enough for airworthiness is going to take a long time. Then it's electronics and control installation time.

@mark I'll be interested to see how much work is involved in getting it ready to fly - electronics, assembly, control-surfaces, etc.
