I knew of him before E Street but I can’t remember the band’s name.

I'm a little disappointed by all of this. I can of course continue to avoid listening to Joe Rogan by not subscribing to Spotify, but in order to avoid listening to Neil Young and Nils Lofgren I'm going to have to not subscribe to some other providers.
Incidentally, Harry and Meghan are continuing to work with Spotify, whilst expressing concerns, so all those folks who don't care about the royals for hours on end should still be good to go.

Yes, I knew of him as well --- certainly gifted. I think he's being loyal to Young as he played with Crazy Horse (After the Gold Rush/ Southern Man). I shouldn't trash talk him of course -- even a B artist is amazing, just not anyone most people know about.

when i look at who uses spotify by numbers...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-streamed_artists_on_Spotify#By_decade
i realize...that the masterpieces of rock music which i grew up with are all but lost to the current generations of kids.
i wonder, if 150 years from now, somewhat like Felix Mendelssohn rediscovering Bach who was also lost to memory in the 19th century, someone will wake up and understand that the baby boomer era music was truly masterful.
