Do you have a take on Monkey Shoulder? My current bottle of scotch, Auchentoshan, is almost gone.

Monkey Shoulder is my go-to not so (cheap) Scotch.

I've had Bushmills (not the "Black Bush" - be quiet Larry). Didn't care for it to the point that I'd never drink Bushmill's again.

Tullamore Dew is good, if you like bitter.

      Balvenie - yum...

Highland Park? It's OK, but not special. I'll take Monkey SHouler over that. Wait...that's the special stuff. Meh, I'll pass.

Haven't had Famous Grouse in years. I should revisit.

Always a fan of Jameson, though I haven't tried the one referenced in the article ($$$)

What? There's an 18 year-old Yamazaki? Why didn't anyone tell me before it got too expensive (loved the 12 year-old)???

Glenrothes is one of my other go-to Whiskeys. It's very good and full-bodied.

There are cheaper versions of Hibiki that will be a nice replacement for Yamazaki, which has become expensive.

Ah, MacAllan. I have some 10, 12 and 15 year old about 7 feet from where I am right now. I set up a taste test. Yeah, I'd pay more for the 12 year old stuff. It's much better. But, in my opinion, the 15 isn't worth the price differential, as nice as it is. Very smooth, though.

Glenmorangie (pronounced "GlenMOREangie") is always a favorite. I imagine the stuff listed here is very good.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Thank you, Sir. I see a lot of Glenmorangie's that are not a lot more, like the 12 year old sherry cask.

I'm more of an Islay guy over Speyside, but definitely +1 on Monkey Shoulder.
