“Cry havoc and let slip the DOGE of war!”

Those who cheered as J-6 American prisoners were locked in solitary for 18 months without trial, now suddenly fight tooth and nail for foreign terrorists’ "due process". — Buck Sexton

Recently I had dinner with a friend who is a teacher in the early grades (1-4), and she expressed very similar concerns. Because her kids are younger her biggest worry is the lack of fundamental social and coping skills. As she put it "2 years is a short time in my life. But for a 6 yo, it's a huge chunk of time."

It does really suck for the kids, and I have first hand experience of quite how much, however despite what she's writing I don't think there's necessarily an easy answer.

          I was only joking
