Holy cow. Thanks for posting that, Mik. Much as I hate going to the laundromat, it will be my new place for washing all the bathroom rugs.

My LG has a bulk items setting that lowers spin speed. Actually it defaults to no spin.

Hmmmm ... I will check for that option on ours. Perhaps that will save me the trips to the laundromat.

We do too, but that doesn’t address the rubber backing flaking off. I think we will just throw them out and buy cheap ones.

I wash mine weekly. No rubber backing. More of a bath rug.

I guess I did say bath mat. I meant any rugs around the toilet.

                I think that’s a good solution.

I find specialized bath mats to be unnecessary.
Just use old towels as “bath mats” and wash them like towels.

I do that when I'm washing the bat mats. 😀

Seriously, old towels on the floor are a safety hazard.

That's a good point, one that escaped me probably because (1) I don't have old people in my household (yet) and (2) my bathrooms are so small that there really isn't room for one to "fall" in them; there is always a wall or a vanity within an arm's reach to hold on to for support or to break a fall. :man-shrugging:
