Remind me how he got elected?

Good window into white female progressive thought, which is to say mainstream leftist narrative thought. Entirely robotic in its response to ideas from the other tribe. Say something about race on that board as a white male, and you'll be met by white progressive females condemning you for your privilege and ignorance about what it is to be oppressed. No rational thought required, only virtue and outrage at the outgroup. "How dare you" disagree with me, a progressive white female of pure compassion, who understands the oppressed. Somehow. That is the political discussion in American culture, in a nutshell.
Not all the posters there are progressive white females or feminized men. There are some not-quite-feminized men who are more defined by being inveterate status seekers, who, if pressed, express sympathy for reason, but who never volunteer it in the face of the righteous virtue noises of their tribe.

Most voters recognized Trump was bad for the country and the world and a foul human being on top of it all. They only needed a non-scary alternative and would take it. Biden was perceived as that. It really is that simple.
Anybody who isn't willing to admit how destructive the righteous TDS that overcame the culture was, has no standing to claim a principled stance against things that are bad for the country and the world.
If it comes down to something simple, it is an unwillingness or even an inability to hold one's nose and live through a circumstance one finds repulsive, without throwing a temper tantrum. This is why I've called TDS sufferers 'dainty little princesses', because that describes perfectly well the psyches of such people, when the chips are down and they have to suffer the results of an election that didn't go their way.

Then they lied to themselves. There is no way a thinking, rational human couldn't study Biden's behavior for just a few days and not know he was mentally and physically challenged.

That is a reasonable thought, but
I have always liked dainty little princesses.
TDS sufferers are more like, with all due respect, stupid, gutless jerks.

This. Just like in 2016, in 2020, many people voted AGAINST a candidate rather than FOR a candidate.
Obviously people cannot see into the future. That is what elections are for. I am sure that there are people who voted for President Biden that regret that vote. And, I am sure that there are people who voted for President Trump in 2016 who regret that vote.

You throw the 'TDS' label around as much as any Woke progressive does the 'R' word. And it has the same dilutive effect on the meaning, at least to the people who aren't True Believers.

You aren’t in your right mind when it comes to Trump, nor when it comes to the concept of TDS, considering the fact you don’t think you suffer from it, and, as far as I’m aware, have never even admitted it exists as a thing worth talking about.

No, not at all. People voted for the vision of America that Trump offered.
And which he delivered as best as he could despite constant obstruction and mendacity from the press and the oppositional party.

Donald Trump wasn't "bad for the country" at all. He was the first president since Reagan who represented the people instead of the government. He was a breath of fresh air in a stench filled sewer. Nor was he a "foul human being". The problem is quite simpke: too many people, you included, don't know your ass from your hat.

Where is the line between "not agreeing with Trump's policies" and "not considering Trump a decent human begin" and TDS?
It's rather cheap to dismiss everyone who disagrees with you as suffering from some kind of syndrome.

Trump was a mixed bag, both good and bad. Overall, I would say the good outweighed the bad, but the bad was still there.

Think back over your lifetime about how democrats have portrayed presidents.
Nixon was a TERRIBLE man.
No, he wasn't.FORD WAS A BUMBLING idiot.
No, he wasn't.Jimmy Carter was a GENIUS.
No, he wasn't. He was u til Biden, the worst president in history.Ronald Reagan was a senile old fool who slept a lot and was dumb.
No, he wasn't.George Bush bad bad bad bad
Bill Clinton was WONDERFUL
George W Bush portrayed as a monkey, a dumb lightweight, etc.
Obama was a GENIUS
Donald Trump - bad for the country. A bad man. Bad, bad, bad, bad, hate, hate, hate....
Joe Biden - Move along, nothing to see here...
Every Republican gets portrayed as "bad for the country". Every democrat is portrayed as a GENIUS, the savior of the world. Democrats like Jon have no credibility when they say someone is "bad for the country". They're like trained monkeys - just repeating the narrative of the day. If Jon was actually concerned with a politician being bad for the country he would be raising immortal he'll over the shit the democrats have in office, like Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, hell.... 99.9% of the idiots in the democrat party are bad for the country. But no, the only ones who he sees as "bad for the country" are anyone Republican.
Like any other run of the mill democrat, Jon doesn't care about who is "bad for the country". It's just a Pavlovian response.

But I don't do that. For instance, let's consider January 6. Let's consider those who think of it as an insurrection. I mean, don't listen to me, listen to them. What do they call it? Do they imagine a mastermind of a coup attempt, manipulating useful idiot soldiers? Just ask them, that is all I ask. What do they say, on the off chance they are willing to say anything?
They won't say anything, they will only relentlessly call people Trumpists and Insurrectionists. Then they will retreat to their objective place where they have no political skin in the game.

There is TDS on both sides for sure.
For the Democrats, anything that President Trump did or does is immediately wrong. He could develop a cure for cancer, feed the starving children and shelter all homeless dogs, and the Democrats would find fault with it. If the Democrats were the ones who did the above however, well then, they would break their arm by hitting themself on the back.
For the Republicans, TDS is Trump Deification Syndrome. There is a fair percent of people who worship at the altar of President Trump. You have to be with President Trump 100% of the time. If you are any small percent below that (for example, only with him 99.5% of the time), that actually means you are against him and need to be banned and shunned. It is kind of turning into a cult of personality, which never ends well (see numerous examples).
