That’s a law so they can use tax evasion as a tactical charge when they want to throw the book at someone. They don’t want to throw the book at looters because their votes are very valuable.

      Education is extremely important.

What? You’d rather the IRS say that “stolen property” is tax free?

The IRS’s publication covers other illegal activities too, like bribery, usury interest, etc. IRS required that income from those activities be reported and taxed too. See https://www.irs.gov/publications/p17

Seeing through absurdity is not your forte, is it?

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run, there's still time to change the road you're on.

This is not absurdity. You see the same question come up frequently enough from the public, you provide clarification. The IRS provided clarifications that are within its lane.

that is funny. Like someone who stole something is actually going to tell the IRS that. LOL

Kind of like when criminals go to court in the US, and they make them say that they "will tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".

Trials would be pretty easy if people actually did that.
