For many of those countries, the citizens have little freedom whether they are incarcerated or not.

And if you are incarcerated here you probably have more freedom than a lot of people who are not incarcerated.

Keep violent career criminals behind bars. I seriously doubt most of these folks were awaiting trial on first offenses.

I agree, but I dont think that is the root cause. Putting them in jail AFTER they have committed a violent crime is closing the door on the bar after the animals are gone.

What is the root cause and how to solve it?

Man… Those other countries suck at catching and convicting criminals…

Root cause? LBJ - Great Society. LBJ tore black families apart and he knew exactly what he was doing, when he did it. Most of these violent offenders are young black men, growing up in poor neighborhoods with no father.

I'm not from Chicago, so I don't know what an "anti-violence worker" does....

Shouldn’t that be worth extra points?

Imagine how many people he would have killed if he wasn't in the anti-violence business.

                Education is extremely important.

At least he has good taste in guns. That looks like a S&W M&P.
