Should be available right away.
When will Pfizer's COVID-19 pill be available?
Pfizer in November asked the FDA for emergency-use authorization for its antiviral drug and Bourla said he expected the FDA to make a decision by the end of 2021. If approved, Paxlovid is ready to go: "We have already shipped product into the US," Bourla said, "so [it] will be available this month if it's approved."

What happened with the Merck pill? I remember when they announced some concerns about pregnant women taking it but haven’t heard anything since.

It’s much less effective - like 30% versus Pfizer’s 89%

Well, with the news about Monoclonal Antibodies being less effective, this is good timing. Still a little concerned about the British Medical Journal’s report about the sloppy and inaccurate reporting between Pfizer and the FDA on the vaccine though. Is there any reason to have more confidence here?

I heard there won’t be very any doses this winter though… only something like 180k courses.
Still… great that this happened.

Did you watch his speech? He knew about this at that time.
So, why not mention it?
