US Foreign Minister to Visit SE Asia

US Foreign Minister, Sec. Blinken will be visiting SE Asia, with Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand on the trip.

Will be interesting to see how the trip goes. Overall, it is good. High level engagement is a good thing by the US. I believe that the countries in SE Asia want to be affirmed as being a strategic partner with the US. Most of the countries here are still pretty pro-US.

This article does not mention Thailand, but I have been told he will be stopping in Thailand for sure.

(I am not sure if it is correct, but makes sense, but the US Foreign Minister is the only person other than the President who has an official plane dedicated to him.)

Unfortunately, due to a positive COVID result among a journalist and amount part of the US Air Force crew, Secretary Blinken had to cancel the portion of the trip to Thailand.
