People are worried about hospitalizations and extreme healthcare usage during the Omicron Wave.

But consider...We've had a couple of years to work this problem. We've had time to formulate crisis response, cross-training, treatment protocols. We've had time to expand and accelerate the number of students in healthcare occupations. We've had time to construct more specialty/dual -use wards.
We have had time to hugely expand testing...Rapid, PCR, Antibody.

Have we been good stewards if our healthcare resources?

Probably not. If the healthcare is like other businesses ,people are so busy in their regular job functions that trying to cross train just doesn't work.

While it seems like a long time, it seems to me that 2 years is pretty short in the medical industry.
