Take a dive into the PDFs.

When presenting a case, you can no longer say, "Mr. Barnhardt is a 56 year old white male."

Even though each of those facts are relevant in a prognosis and treatment…

That's insane. Racial differences call for various treatments...Just off the top of my head, I know you can't use the same dilating drops on caucasian and black people's eyes.

I guess that, for all these years, my anesthetic practices were also sublty racist.

This is ok as long as patients are included in the process.
Let's just ask the patient if they want the best medical treatment or if they want the most politically favorable treatment.

So.....how are you supposed to present the case?

So.....how are you supposed to present the case?
"Mr. Barnhardt is a 56 year old person who identifies as 'male'."
" Mr. Barnhardt is a 56 year old Non-POC male."
"Mr. Barnhardt is a male who declines to state his age"
"Mr. Barnhardt is a person who declines to state their age"
"Edward Barnhardt is a person who declines to state their age"
So.
Many.
Possibilities.
