It’s like saying eventually everyone is going to get the flu.
A sensible strategy is to delay getting it until the dominant strains induce no or only very mild symptoms, like the common flu.In the meantime, get your vaccines and boosters, socially distance, mask up when around other people, wash your hands, disinfect and keep things clean.

Not yet. Let's get our treatment up to a level so as to render infection as dangerous by % population as the flu.
That's my personal "throw up our hands" benchmark, and I think we can get there within a year.

We started out with a goal of keeping the death rate below that of heart disease. We passed that one waaay back...
