Getting COVID 3 times.

and get to write a script for the Hallmark channel.
You really don't want me doing that, man.
Thanks a lot, everybody. Really appreciate being able to talk about what has definitely been a week of unprecedented horseshit.

I'm very happy that your family situation is getting better! We're still suffering long term debilitating effects of Covid (though curiously always tested negative). I wonder if you're just naturally immune or have a sufficiently robust immune system to keep the virus from loading?
BTW, its been a while since we've chatted, so I had no idea that there was a Mrs Letifer and a little Letifer -- this makes me happy for you! I'd love to see pix, if you might...

Further good news: wife and daughter just got tested at a clinic. Negative. We can probably hang out safely again.
That's awesome, Aqua. What a relief.

Well, with my personality, charm and social graces, it's obvious it was my oodles of cash that was the main attraction.

So how is your friend?

Great to hear.
And turns out Aqua is the Übermensch that can resist a house full of covid.
Pfffft I'll get it eventually. Depend on it.

They're doing okay, just flu-like annoyance.
Other buddy got it, too, at about the same time. Almost died in the hospital. Guy with him in the COVID section of the hospital did die. Vaccinated, 26.

@aqua-letifer so glad you are seeing progress in your family for getting rid of this illness.

Thanks, Brenda, me too. Could've been a shitload worse.

@aqua-letifer update?
-
We are 5 days past my close contact and PCR came back negative. I’ll admit that I was sweating this one.
The weird thing? The kid lost his taste and smell so we all assumed it was Delta, but they came back within 24 hours so who knows?

Well, just dealing with the residual stuff now. My wife's sense of smell is a little off—definitely enough to notice, but not nearly as bad as others. Hasn't affected what she can eat, for example. But, she's doing some smell test stuff from an online kit to see if that helps speed things along.
Kiddo's doing okay. I still have a dry cough, which is very annoying.
All of this delayed our holiday plans, but I honestly don't care. We could have just as easily been hanging out through glass, or relaying messages via a nurse, so who gives a damn we're not traveling yet.

Enjoy the little victories. So what if travel plans are messed up? Everybody is getting better and that's what counts.
As an aside, I've heard a rumor that when women become pregnant, their sense of taste and smell return much faster after a bout with COVID. Help me to help you.
