    Eric Zemmour is a candidate for the upcoming election in France.

    I personally am not a big fan - too populist and too autocratic for my taste - but he is quickly becoming a real force to be reckoned with. He is already polling second behind Macron.

    I must say that, from a populist perspective, his speech in which he announces his candidacy is pretty well done. I guess it also resonates with what many conservatives in the US are feeling.

    It's also quite sad and telling that YT flagged the speech as "age-restricted".

    It has English subtitles.

    I thought that the title of the party - reconquête - is a pretty clever choice.

    Oh, and one thing I enjoyed: Despite all the talk about the great French history and culture, he chose a Beethoven symphony as background music 🙂

      Read it when it came out. It resonates with a lot of French.

      The whole reason we call them illegal aliens is because they’re subject to our laws.
