Trump was massively inconsistent on travel bans for sure. Very quickly imposed them on China. Didn't impose them on Europe until well after the airlines stopped flights. And the airlines only stopped flights after the flight crews walked out.
Maybe in the grand scheme of things, with two years hindsight, the travel bans didn't make much of a difference. But lets not give him too much credit. He was very willing to stop flights to China and had no balls to stop them to Europe. His attitude to travel bans poorly correlated to infection risk.
Yes, the Dems showed their asses early treating Asian travel bans as racist. But that doesn't mean Trump shined.

You completely miss the point in true Axian manner. No one said Trump's bans were great or effective. But Biden slammed them as racist and now imposes his own.

Good point. Lyin' Joe's tweet was a day after the Fox story.
But as you pointed out, I believe he and certainly others called the China ban racist, even though it was COVID-related.

Any word on the severity of the cases? Is this the hoped for you incredibly transmissible but much less severe variant that everyone has been keeping an eye out for?

The waaaaaaayyyyy too early reports seem to indicate that cases are milder, but then again, most cases of COVID are mild to begin with. There will need to be a much larger sample size to really know.
