Seriously, though, it sucks that isn't a viable solution in more places. It's weird where the spots are. In DC, for example, I feel completely safe on a bike. Even Baltimore is surprisingly safe. Ashburn, VA? 45 mph never-respected speed limits + no biking infrastructure + driver entitlement + Karenville = someone was going to hit me, and maybe on purpose. Every time out was a close call. No thanks.

I think we are building wrong. I was driving through town the other day, and I was looking at some of the middle class neighborhoods, originally built in the between war period.
Most of those homes were within five or six blocks of the business district. An easy bike ride or not a bad walk.
We need more of that.

I think we are building wrong. I was driving through town the other day, and I was looking at some of the middle class neighborhoods, originally built in the between war period.
Most of those homes were within five or six blocks of the business district. An easy bike ride or not a bad walk.
We need more of that.
