Speaking of taking away stuff we love, my wife lost all three of her jobs to Covid, the last one as of yesterday. So that's around 100k/year gone. That money had real sentimental value to us.

    Education is extremely important.

      Fair enough. I'll retitle it.

I didn't mean to one-up the title, I was only going along with it. Now my post doesn't make sense.

I know what you mean. I have a deep emotional attachment to Benjamin Franklins.

              Well, that sucks.

              Any prospects?

She hated her jobs anyway. But she was good at them. If she finds something else, it'll be for the best. I suppose that's how these things often turn out. But there'll be a lot of people looking for work along with her. My only worry is that she'll throw up her hands and decide to go back to china for a while. She's not ok with not having her own income.

                  Start her own business, perhaps?

She has done that a few times in China. If she sees an opportunity she will.

What sort of work does she do?

She was an international student coordinator, and also worked part time at a private high school doing the same sort of thing for their international student program. She did not like dealing with unruly students and stupid host families, many of whom are just in it for the paycheck and don't want to be bothered with the student living with them.
