The Lovell sisters, Megan and Rebecca, started in Bluegrass as kids but now play roots rock and blues in their own band called Larkin Poe. Megan is a kick ass lap steel player. They do some great covers. If you’ve never heard them check them out:

They’ve garnered quite a following the past five years. So yeah, I think they’re not only relevant but more important they’re damn fine young musicians.
