"You're damn right I'm taking hydroxychloroquine."

“I would rather he not be taking something that has not been approved by the scientists, especially in his age group, and in his, shall we say, weight group: ‘Morbidly obese,’ they say,” says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Pres. Trump’s revelation he is taking hydroxychloroquine.

I think she's saying that he's a 6 - at best
-
@Doctor-Phibes she also neglected to say "people in OUR age group..."
She's 4 years older than Teh Donald.

And is starting to act a little senile...

She's not alone there.

Yep, Biden is worse.

I'm so old that I remember when body-shaming was a bad thing.
Come on, George, Trumps is freaking beautiful. It's not like all those women banged him for his personality.
-
That wiley Trump... He got all of those studies to change their results so people would stop taking it and he could make sure he had enough!
Damn, 4D Chess.
-
Maybe he's been sarcastic again. It's kind of hard to tell, even for a Brit.

Old is old, it’s always about power and money. I don’t think Trump is disillusioned about that although other old men might be.

You have the man in the most powerful office in the world. He's grappling with his and the world's most important policy agenda item.
He has access to the best medical and scientific minds in the world.
But when he talks in a public forum about what he's doing about this topic - well that's between him and his doctor. Why do you care? Why would anyone care?
It's kinda funny how the words of the President have become farts in the wind. Don't listen to what he says only what he does. But also not the things the HE does.

I don't see how you find your way home.

Because of the track record of the media, I don't believe anything. And those scientists? Not far behind. Let me have some coffee, maybe an egg. NO. It's bad for you, no, turns out it's good for you, no wine, wine OK, etc.
So the cynic in me says, "Hydroxychloroquine costs a buck, so of course that's not going to be touted as any possible benefit, actually the opposite: "it helps, it doesn't help, it can save your life, it can kill you, not tested enough, been using it for 60 years, yada yada."
For all I care, Trump can and will do whatever he wants. He's a known germophobe, doesn't drink or smoke. Imagine if there were pictures of him taking a drag on a cigarette or doobie like Obama. Oh, the horrors!!
Maybe he should come out and just say, "this hydroxy shit is primo man, like, a cheap high, THAT's why I take it." Then see what happens in the media.

Do I think that President Trump has handled the COVID -19 crisis very well? Absolutely not.
BUT, I think that if there had been a Democrat president, it would have been just as bad. I just really don't think that either side would have been very good with this.
In a different reality, there is a Democrat President. And the funny things is, it is the Republics who are complaining because the Democrats want to re-open the country too soon. And the Democrats are accusing the Republics of trying to kill the economy.
Democrats - "This virus is hurting the working people. We are the party of the working people, and shutting down the economy is not helping them and their livelihood. The Republics really do not care about people!!!"
Republics - "There is no livelihood if there is no life. We have a long term vision and if we open up too soon, not only is there short term damage to the economy but long term as well. We need to keep the lockdown in place! The Democrats really do not care about people!!"
I truly believe that is what would happen if there were a Democrat as President right now. Politics in the US are so divided, that if a Republic says "black", the Democrat has to say "white", even if they dont really believe it. And the opposite is true also.
It seems like being against the other party is more important than the overall good of society.
