"Death-row inmates in Oklahoma are now injected with an approved three-drug cocktail. The three drugs are: midazolam, vecuronium bromide and potassium chloride."

I wonder how much midazolam they use. Typical sedative dose is about 2-3 mg.

If I were the executioner, I'd probably start with 100 mg of "midazzzle-'em".

The vec? I'd usually used 8-10 mg. Give 100 mg. and they'll stop breathing (and vomiting) in seconds.

Who are the idiots that are administering these drugs????

Given enough money, you'd be surprised...

And no, I don't know anyone who's done it.

        They get paid.

Used to hunt with the guy who tagged and bagged the executed at Angola. He liked the OT. And besides, they got a free meal.

Britain's last hangman, Albert Pierrepoint, ran a pub 10 miles from where I grew up. Sadly, it's now an Indian restaurant.

He killed a lot of people.

Apparently, he was good at his job. A man should take pride in his work.

Oddly, they didn't pick him to hang all the Nazis after Nuremberg, and the guy they did choose botched the job so that some of them died by strangulation.

Nothing at all, it's just such a shame that the pubs are declining. Just before Covid hit, I went on a pub crawl through Preston with my brother, and about 2/3 of them were completely deserted. When I was in my 20's they'd have been packed, even mid-week.

I doubt it's got any better during the pandemic.
