The argument doesn't take into account that it's actually a testing mandate with a vaccine exception. How many will quit over being tested?

How many readers will there be of Facebook op-eds calling it the death of freedom?

Right? Actually many will quit not realizing it’s really a testing mandate because their TV channels of choice find it more rage inducing (IOW, profitable) to omit such details.

Do you really expect most businesses to take the complicated and expensive path of allowing the employees the testing option? Of course most will take the simpler and easier path of requiring vaccination. It’s a stupid and spineless attempt on Biden’s part to shift the burden onto business.

I hadn't thought too much about it but I suspect the general rule will be large employers will likely do so and small ones will be less likely, except in areas will lots of anti-vaxxers (be they maggots, minorities, or granola chicks).

Well, y'all better get out there and tell companies about that testing stuff, because most of the things I've read mentions nothing about testing. And I ain't talking about op-eds, but what individuals are writing about what they are being told at work.
Which makes sense. The shot costs the company nothing. The test kits do, both in direct and indirect costs.

I think it was one of the major US health systems. Even before President Biden issued his recommendation, they had said that they were going to require vaccines.
Something like 15-20% of the workers said that they would get it.
However, in reality, the number was something like 1-3%.
It is easy to seem very proud of your principles, but when it comes time to really stand up for them, most people realize that it is "not a hill to die on".
At this point, (ONLY in my opinion )very few people have a legitimate reason for opposing the vaccine.
And again, as @jon-nyc says, it is not a mandate. There are options.
