So, we're returning to work on a limited basis shortly. It's required that we're vaccinated, unless we can demonstrate health or religious reasons not to be in which case we can work from home. Over the last few months, I've asked my team to let me know privately as a matter of courtesy if they weren't vaccinated, nobody said anything, and obviously I'm not allowed to insist.

With 10 days to go, one of them just claimed a religious exemption. He'd been pretty cagey during group discussions, and now he's talking to HR.

    Should be an interesting month.

    I was only joking

You've been vaccinated. Do you feel threatened by somebody who isn't?

I’m not the one writing the policy

Maybe they just want to work from home 100% and figured they would take advantage of the policy.

Presumably you'll be let in on the specifics of this claim to a religious exemption? Or is that for HR eyes only.

            Education is extremely important.

              Threatened by the policy

              or the virus?

                Virus.

We were told to vaccinate and COVID would be stopped. Those who were vaccinated had nothing to fear from further infection. COVID is a pandemic of the unvaccinated. So, the Biden mandate was a twofer.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

Turns out, vaccinated people can catch a variant of the original virus (many assured us this would not happen). It can make them very ill, maybe even kill them. And they can infect other people, even if they've been vaccinated. As I wrote earlier today, 20% of our inpatients in Louisiana are vaxxed patients.

Unless something changes, I think we're past the point where COVID can break the medical system. So...we're going to have to create a huge database accessible by darn near everyone to keep up with this mountain of vaccinated people.

I'm wondering if mandatory vaccination is worth it...

                  I’m quite interested. I believe he’s a Roman Catholic.
