Yes, you have. But what you emote about is most informative. Entirely dominated by leftist TDS. What you emote about is exactly what you need to emote about in order to accrue the social capital you crave. I remember a time you emoted a certain fear about banker hatred, the likes of which AOC now espouses. But that sort of emoting is past tense in an era of TDS.

    Education is extremely important.

Yeah like I never complain about or lament (Russell conjugations of ‘emote’) wokeness and other illiberal tendencies of the left. Never ever done that. Too worried about what the AOC fan club will think of me. Maybe I won’t get invited to the right parties.

I don't claim to know exactly what you're avoiding saying, but it's clear that center mass of your aim, when you choose to allow yourself to emote, is TDS and vaguely associated tribal hatred of conservatives. I don't think you actually belong to that opposition tribe against conservatives, but the social value of emoting against them is not a coincidence. It serves you personally.

I’m fine with conservatives, rare breed that they are these days.

lol yes I am told I am not one. Unfortunately, not by those who are capable of defining the term.

Jon did not like Trump. That hardly makes him a leftist. He’s always been right of center as far as I can see, similar to myself.

Jon self-identifies as left-leaning, but he's not tribal in such a trivial sense. What he chooses to emote about happens to coincide with certain cultural prerequisites. TDS is very safe, and a pre-requisite hatred in certain company. Fun, even.

Jon: while we're talking about you, please don't interrupt.

Got a canned response from Senator Kennedy to my email, but at least it sounded like he doesn't like the IRS any more than I do...

The most recent survey shows 38% of Americans call themselves conservatives, moderates at 34%, and liberals at 23%. Based on that, you need to reevaluate your views on things. Who is the loudest doesn't count.

I like Jon, and mean him no harm. But Jon hasn't liked ANY Republican ever. My observation of his politics is that he makes the right noises to leave the impression that he's a centrist, but at the end of the day he is a democrat do or die.

                        Perhaps Bush the Elder.
