I came across this guy in an interview with Rick Beato. He talks about how he arranged this song (and the tuning he used).

I started to watch the 2nd video yesterday. I quickly grew bored. He is certainly very good but, IMO, definitely not the "world's greatest" acoustic guitar player.
The whole notion that someone is the "world's greatest" (insert your musical instrument of choice here) is ridiculous to me.
Open tunings and the repetitive nature of the compositions they "inspire" are not my cup of tea.
As far as the first video is concerned, I have absolutely no interest in that song, in any form.

You can throw a rock and hit better guitarists than that guy in Nashville all over the place. Some will even say "you want fries with that?"
