Over the years, several dramatic movies have been made about generals, Patton probably being the most successful. But there are some interesting people out there whose lives would make an interesting and action filled movie.
Stonewall Jackson's life would make a highly interesting drama, if done well, at least IMO. He appears in Gods and Generals, but I'd like to see a single movie about him.
Which military leader would you like to see portrayed on the big screen?

I'd say Mad Jack Churchill, but it'd be impossible to make it believable unless Marvel did it.

Why not General Jacob Devers? His abilities as a general and innovative military leader are all but forgotten. Unjustly partly because his relationship with Ike was not always cordial. As a general though, the Germans took him very seriously.

There was plenty of drama between him and Ike not to mention Mark Clark. Devers was no slouch as a tactician and could be every bit as diplomatic as Ike when it came to dealing with personalities and egos.
I reckon a good screenplay and director could make it a first class movie.
