(I promise I won't inundate the forum with football stuff, but this is kind of a big deal.)

From CBS: "Tom Brady already had all the motivation in the world to come into Gillette Stadium this weekend and light up the scoreboard he kept illuminated for two decades. And following Sunday’s outcome in Los Angeles, the quarterback is going to be really pissed when he brings his Buccaneers to New England.

"Brady does not like losing. He hates it more than carbs. [He] will be looking to bounce back after . . .Tampa fell to the Rams 34-24 on Sunday afternoon."

Elmore Leonard’s book Valdez Is Coming is about a man who was done wrong, and his campaign of retribution. From the book’s title, we are led to imagine the evildoers’ fear at the prospect of their terrible fate at his hands.

Imagine substituting the name Brady for Valdez. Brady Is Coming. He has spoken about the anxious and increasingly frantic period he endured as a young man, waiting to be notified of his first draft into the NFL. The phone remained silent day after day after day. Years later he said in an interview, “I just remember thinking, whichever team picked me, I was going to make the other 31 regret it.” We now know that was not an idle threat. He built the chops to do it, and he’s proven it spectacularly.

Imagine the thoughts of not just Belichick, but all the other coaches whose teams are scheduled for a meet with the Buccaneers during this season.

    Brady is coming.

    Brady is coming.

    Brady is coming.
