Why is Fairfax County taxing their citizens to pay for state run programs?

No guilt here as I reuse those plastic bags as trash bags to line the trash cans, so I save on trash bags.

Blue is good. Red is communism.

            Plastic water bottles too.

Plastic bags are choking the environment. I suspect humans can survive this or pay for the convenience. Hopefully 5 cents is enough to mitigate the waste and damage.

A plastic bag has a half life shorter than a fruit fly, and likely on average provide a few seconds of convenience.

We suck if this a hard issue.

They did this in the UK in 2015. The world didn't end. People use re-usable bags a lot more now.

I'm sure some people got very over-excited about it, and then forgot to be outraged after a couple of weeks.

              I was only joking

You know its a slippery slope, first they take away your plastic bags and you know its just a cynical attempt to chip away at your liberty.

I can just about guarantee that plastic bags are not choking the environment in Fairfax County.

The 5 cent tax will never be used to fix a litter problem that probably doesn't exist.

Didn't I see a report a few months ago saying that the reusable bags are quite bacteria-laden?

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

Y'all dont buy groceries in the UK. You don't have kitchens, frigs and freezers big enough to store anything...
