That was known going in.
Not sure why they didn't set the amount as a maximum and cutoff at (old pay - state unemployment). Probably figured it was too difficult to administer relative to the benefits of doing it that way.

Don’t forget to factor in the lowered expenses as well... Gas, tolls, lunch on the road, dry cleaning, that Starbucks cappuccino, the after work beer, etc...
They are likely much better off. I’m actually having a little trouble preparing people to come back to work at the end of the month.

Of course we will have to deal with a bunch of bitching when they have to do their taxes next year.
