For sale in our town

This home was on the market when we were shopping for our 2nd house. It was certainly in our price range, but needed a lot of work.
First of all, the basement was unfinished and really like something out of a horror movie.
The kitchen was outdated and terrible.
The attic (3rd floor) was also unfinished.
Those factors weren't deal-breakers, if we could have gotten it for a reasonable price (I think it was listed for less than $300K at that time.
The deal breaker was that, with a two year old and a one year old, there was no family room.
Looking at the floor plans, you can see how the "Family Room" and "Sun Room" were additions. You can also see how the
masterprimary bedroom is above the family room addition. The bedrooms, as they were originally were small and awkward. Some of them had a "step down" into the room, which was kind of charming, actually.

I hope they aren’t leaving that piece of shit Steinway for the new owner…

1.7 seems kind of cheap to me. Are the real estate markets that different?

Most expensive sale in our town was about 1.2.

(Nodding). Agreed. Living in that house would almost be embarrassing for me. Not sure why I say that . . . it's just, just, t00 much.
I would never want to live in a house that demanded that I be more than I am in order to live up to the house.
