The Good Wife is a TV series that had a run for, I think, 7 seasons on NBC.

Premise is that the wife of a former States' Attorney in C(r )oak County need to return to work as an attorney because her husband has been disgraced in a Spitzer-type scandal.

It stars Julianna Margoulis (sp?) and other well-known people (Chris Noth - I worked with his brother, Jim, who's an opthamologist).

Each season has about 20 episodes, and though there is an over-reaching arc for the first season, the episodes are pretty much stand-alone.

    It has great reviews.

I spent the morning watching a few.

    It's good.

But is is that good? Nah. If you want 45 minutes of popcorn, by all means enjoy, This is truly the "turn off your mind and watch me for an hour" type of TV that the networks have indulged in in the last few years. Think "Burn Notice" or "Suits" without the wit and charm,

    Meh....

It has a sequel series, "The Good Fight." I might invest a few hours to see if it engages, but I'm not hopeful.

It’s not bad, but like any series of its kind it is at core a soap that ping pongs around. That said, the writing is better than most shows.

        FIFY.

Doesn't hold a candle to any series from BBC you can find on Netflix.

I'm going back to "Silent Witness.
