    Don't think so.

I suspect the CDC will focus on enhancing existing assets.

Keep in mind that's a 988 bed hospital, which is almost unheard of these days, especially in a town that size.

All of those won't be COVID beds. I think those only number 150, maybe more, maybe less.

Of course, if they can get the staff, they can convert wards pretty quickly. They have experience...

Not in my particular area. Maybe down in Baton Rouge.

Look at LuFins Dad's post about Children's Hospital. That's probably the biggest children's facility in the Gulf South. They're full.

I do know as of Wednesday, the state had picked up over 11,000 positive tests in less than a week, with 20% of them being under 18.

                          Maybe.

You need to hang with some docs...Last big New Orleans party I was at, featured all the pathologists and their staff from LSU med school. They literally drank the restaurant bar dry.

Seems to me that BioNtech could make a vaccine for lamda in a weekend. Which is pretty much what they did for the original

Baton Rouge General now has more cases than they have ever had, since the pandemic started. I think we had around 40 die today, statewide. I look for that number to continue to climb.

That's horrible. Here's hoping it subsides soon.

Which can happen - look at India. Everything was horrible, and then it just subsided.

Browsing around FB, at least a couple of people whom I "know" have friends, fully vaccinated, who got the delta. Some got really sick.

No, I don't know which vaccine.
