My prediction is this will not happen. He will not set up a separate platform.

And if he does, it will not last very long.

    He might just do that.

But...as was the case with Parler, who's going to host it?

Maybe he'll release his healthcare plan before releasing his new software platform.

@jolly My point was - when Trump says "we're releasing X soon", that doesn't mean they're releasing X soon.

Did Trump say that, or did his kids? Does it matter if it is two weeks or ten months?

And why do you care about his health plan, he's not President anymore. You better worry about Joe's....The man is still living in your head, rent free....

                He said this:

“I’m doing things having to do with putting our own platform out there that you’ll be hearing about soon"

I'm just commenting on his rhetoric. When he's going to actually do something, he's very definitive. When he uses the phrase "we're planning to do X soon", he hasn't done it yet.

Again - my comment was just extrapolating from his rhetorical pattern.

Trump has always thrown a lot of spaghetti against the wall, noting what sticks and then pursuing it. Nature of the beast. OTOH, I'd say something about Biden, but nothing is spontaneous with the man...Not if his handlers can help it.

100% agree. I'm fine with, and even prefer, very boring Presidents.

If we could culturally pull the spotlight off the President and put it back on our representatives we'd be in better shape.

I think it's super unhealthy for the legislature to kowtow to the President.

Well, supposedly some personalities from Team Trump launched a new social media platform in July. Anybody noticed?

                      https://www.politico.com/news/2021/07/01/gettr-trump-social-media-platform-497606

It's called GETTR. Looks like it lets you "follow" specific accounts to get short posts distributed to you when new short posts are posted by the accounts you "follow."

                      https://gettr.com/

I don't see much on it, and so far Trump himself has not sign on. Let me know what you see.
