    "Replica?"

Yeah, that's not really the right word for what this is. Still, it would be fun to own.

    You misspelled "expensive."

The exterior and passenger compartment look great.

The engine compartment....well, it could use some spiffing up.

There was plenty of room for a straight six. No sense in a four cylinder. I'd bet it's pretty doggy. Wonder what the chassis was.

Well, looking around there, I see that my definition of "excellent" is different from some people's.

My father in law owns a 1930's Riley Merlin - it's a genuine one, not a replica, and is in better nick than the Jag, although obviously not as sporty-looking, it probably drives better. It took a heck of a lot of work to get there, but is great fun to drive in.

              I was only joking

The London Motor Corporation was in London Ontario, not London England. It appears to be a mid to late 60s mustang running gear with a fiberglass kit body. The gear shifter and engine are straight out of a mid 60s mustang. The steering wheel is straight out of the late 70s.

Fiberglass isnt a "forever" material. The stress on the mounting points, its tendency to develop cracks, added to the fact that the quality of lamination in these kits was pretty low..... a 50+ year old car with a 60+ year old motor and chassis..... I'd look at it and say "that's cute..... I'll give you 2k for it..."

There is one company that makes a metal body copy of the Shelby Cobra, which should last a lot longer. IIRC, it's aluminum, so don't ding it in the parking lot....

What’s the upkeep/maintenance on these “replicas”?

That's the selling point, at least when they're newer. They use modern running gear, with available parts. Turn the key and go...
