(Nodding.) She's acclimating. In no time, she'll own the house. 🙂

A shame about Honey and Skye. But if there's one true thing in this world, it's that when it comes to cats, there are plenty of fish in the sea.

Yeah, we brought her upstairs now to get used to our room as her sanctuary.

I think we are going to rename her Luna.

Congratulations! She's lovely. Good name, too.

Leave her alone for as long as she wants she might take up to a week (or longer) to acclimatize herself. Some people suggest locking a new cat in a bathroom (with litter, food, etc) for a few days, just so the cat knows that there's a safe place to be. Then, leave the door open after a few days, and surely, she'll explore on her own.

We babysat D3's cat about a month ago. Carly stayed in the front bedroom, door locked, and I would go in, lie down on the bed to read. After a day or so, she hopped on the bed. Then, we opened the door. It took her another 3 days to leave the bedroom.

        Congratulations again.

        Keep us updated.

Congrats on the new kitty! Luna is a wonderful name for this baby. Maybe you said before, but is Luna a male or female? About how old is Luna?

She's 15 months old, birthday 3/11. There was another tuxedo there, Delilah, that was very sweet, about 9 months, that we would have taken too. Alas she was spoken for.

She’s doing very well. Stayed under the bed until 1:30 or so when she came out and started exploring the room about 2:30 she jumped up on the bed and wanted to be petted and crawl over us. This morning she’s all over the room, exploring, trying to get into the closets, playing with toys and looking out the window at the squirrel. They were having a stare down about 4” apart.

                          Sounds great!

Is she going to be a strictly indoor cat (they live longer, you know).

Yes, she will be indoor. Chloe was already used to being outdoor and would not have been happy otherwise.
