Well, she was pissed and the world was upside down, because UNC wouldn't give her tenure. Not a job. Not a nice paycheck. No tenure.
Even though some of what she teaches is very controversial, some is shoddy scholarship and some is just a hot lie.
So, UNC offered her tenure. Which she now doesn't want, choosing to go to a HBC, instead.

There was a guy here who used to disagree with me about this.
When I was interviewing and hiring people I considered looks to be very important, along with maybe a dozen other important things.
Sorry, but she wouldn't last 1 minute in my interview.
I probably wouldn't last long in hers.
