Instead of giving money to the candidates directly, they gave money to PACs that donated money to all candidates, including contenders who could be elected in their stead. Is that really the same?

When some of the PACs are specifically tied to certain candidates? Yeah, that’s the same… It could provide them with Weasel cover on the other side…
