When I was at school we memorized the Nicene Creed and the Lord's Prayer.

I leave it as an exercise for the reader to determine whether it had the desired effect.

      I was only joking

We seem to have the luxury to take our democratic experiment as axiomatic.

Imagine not developing patriotism when we have to ask our next set of young people to give their lives to protect our freedom.

There are sheep, wolves and sheep herders. The sheep are getting particularly unruly and we can’t let the wolves eat them.
