Jesse Stone, man. The books are just fun, and the movies are great, too. They're shot in a Hallmark movie kinda way but the stories are well-done.

Bonus: a dog is a central character.

I could never buy Selleck as Jesse, though. He was just too . . . I dunno, Selleck.

It was like trying to buy Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra. Her Elizabeth Taylor-ness was too intrusive.

I thought he did an excellent job as Jesse. Magnum P.I. the show ain't, in every way.

      Please love yourself.

        Well, your opinion is stupid.

I agree with Aqua. Thought Selleck was good in the Jesse Stone pics. Like him in Bluebloods as well.

No, Robert Urich didn't work for me, either. Neither did Avery Brooks, come to think of it.

I'd like to have seen Stacy Keach in the role.

There is one that takes place in the islands above Scotland (which is named for them) and I can’t remember that name either…

Should have remembered. Like the ponies. “Shetland”. There is another that I liked, I can only picture the guy, dark hair, sad face, beard. I’ll have to go Google it.
