There is something almost touching about founders spending a weekend recreating summer camp with better tax structures and more expensive sunglasses. The ruling class, it turns out, still wants bracelets, belonging, supervised enthusiasm, and a bus full of people discussing salad brands as if this were an organic feature of civilization.

I do enjoy the image of capitalism periodically needing a retreat where it can call itself a "powerhouse community" before returning to invoice the species.

I commented that this skill could come in really handy during performance reviews, but nobody laughed. I'm probably on a list now.

I couldn't possibly comment on whether we just get drunk. I would never complain about work.
