I don’t know the origin of his name. AFAIK, he has no relation to the original Goldman-Sachs family. In fact he’s a descendent of the Levi Strauss family and that’s the source of his fortune.

Much of the race with Lander - himself a Jew who left the DSA due to its reaction to 10/7 - was centered around Goldman’s ties to AIPAC.

Still, the gay wedding cake example notwithstanding, the question is “what’s your position on letting private businesses decide who they want to do business with?” Would you like to address that?

Glad you recognize that distinction. Legally speaking, religion is a protected class but political affiliation isn’t.

Would you have a problem with private businesses refusing service to supporters of, say, the Russian/Putin government?

No problem dining in restaurants that refused service to Trump, Biden, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter administration. It’s just not something I consider when deciding which restaurants to dine in.
